The Mt. Olive Schools Academic foundation has announced that it will award a $500 annual mini-grant to the Mt. Olive High School History Department in memory of Tim R. Kratochvil. It will be awarded to history teacher Mr. Simmons today for the first one, and starting on April 2, 2024, Tim’s birthday, it will be awarded every year on that day. Tim taught history at Genoa Kingston and Taylorville High Schools. It will be funded for many years from memorials presented to the foundation so far in memory of Tim. It is a fitting tribute to a truly outstanding educator.
