David "Dave" Len Delashmit, 73, of Mt. Olive, Ill., died on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield. He was born on Nov. 6, 1949, to Harold Arthur Delashmit and Neva Ida (Austin) Delashmit in Collinsville.

He graduated from Collinsville High School in 1968. Dave was a Vietnam War veteran who served in the United States Army and was employed as a truck driver for much of his life following his service.
