The Oct. 5, 2023 meeting was called to order at 1 p.m. by President Gerri Cook. The Lord's Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance were recited. There were 21 people present including a visitor, Ruth King, visiting from Tenn.

Everyone was advised that if they wear Halloween attire or fall colors to the next meeting on Oct. 19, they will get a free bingo card. Lu Emery donated a beautiful blue afghan. Tickets will be sold for a drawing for the afghan at $1 each or six for $5. You do not have to be present and you do not have to purchase a bingo card to win.
