Court

Shane A. Smith (48) of Girard, faces a felony charge for theft of a 2015 Bobcat Skid Steer s570, having a total value in excess of $10,000 but not exceeding $100,000 on Aug. 27, 2023. On Sept. 8, 2023, Smith committed the felony charge of criminal trespass and criminal damage to property, being that he knocked security cameras down from their mountings and damaged said cameras on the property located in rural Girard, and the damage being in excess of $500 but less than $10,000.

Jessie R. Emery (29) of Litchfield, faces a felony charge of manufacturing harmful material to a minor, in that on Aug. 8, 2023, Emery sent a picture of his genitalia to a person that he believed is a minor.

Ryan D. Shoger, (36) of Gillespie, faces a felony charge for possessing less than five grams of a substance containing methamphetamine on July 27, 2023.

David J. Ragusa (50) of East Alton, faces a felony charge for driving on a revoked or suspended drivers license on Aug. 11, 2023. Ragusa drove a truck bearing temporary IL Registration on Brighton Bunker Hill Road near Foote Road within Macoupin County and having previously been convicted on five prior occasions for driving while license suspended or revoked.

Daphne C. Babcock (30) of Carlinville, committed the offense of criminal trespass on Aug. 24, 2023, being Loveless Park located on Loveless Parkway, in Carlinville, after having received notice that it was forbidden.

Frederic J. Skinner (19) of Carlinville, faces a felony charge for aggravated assault on public property, being that on Sept. 10, 2023, Skinner charged an individual with a bat and then chased him down with said bat on a bicycle on the 800 block of North Broad, Carlinville.

Laura N. Brooks (33) of W. Lafayette, Ind., faces felony charges for obstructing identification by furnishing a false name at a traffic stop and for driving on a suspended license on Aug. 14, 2023.

Dearius A. Davis (21) of Decatur, faces a felony charge for obstructing identification on July 23, 2023, in that said defendant knowingly furnished a false name at a traffic stop.

Tadeym S. Bratcher (25) of Carlinville, faces a felony charge for criminal trespass, in that on July 25, 2023, Bratcher entered Macoupin County Housing Authority located in Carlinville, after having received prior notice from them that such entry was forbidden.

DUI

Janice E. Scott (54) of Carlinville, was ticketed for driving under the influence at 10:50 p.m. on Shipman Road and for having a BAC of .172 on Sept. 9, 2023.

Jake L. Struckhoff (23) of Troy, was ticketed for driving under the influence at 1:55 a.m. on the intersection of Herman Road and Hi Cafe Road on Sept. 7, 2023.

Jesse J. Kahl (36) of Wilsonville, was ticketed for driving under the influence at 1:57 a.m. on Macoupin E Maple and for having a BAC of .199 on Sept. 10, 2023.

Andrew C. Wolfe (21) of Virden, was ticketed for driving under the influence at 11:42 p.m. on Union and Noble in Virden, and for having a BAC of .08 or more.
