Betty L. Stein, 80, of Staunton, Ill., died on Monday, Sept. 4, 2023, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. She was born on Dec. 20, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Jasper and Myrtle (Ross) Campbell. She married Donald Stein, and he predeceased her.

Betty was a retired respiratory therapist. She enjoyed reading, shopping for antiques, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Hartnett of Staunton and Jackie (Robert) Looser of Michigan; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Ed and Tom Campbell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Stein; and brothers, John and Sterling Ray Campbell.

Betty's wishes were to be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
