Livingston Streetfest set for Sept. 30

Everyone is invited to join in the fun during the Livingston Streetfest on Saturday, Sept. 30. Festivities will be located on Livingston Ave. and downtown Main Street from noon until 10 p.m. that day.

Just one of the many activities planned for that day is the Car, Truck & Bike Show opening at 12:30 p.m. and running until trophy presentation at 4:30 p.m. There is a $20 entry fee and there is no early registration.

The Tractor Show will run from noon to 4 p.m. Tractor Wagon Rides are being sponsored by the Staunton FFA Alumni. Tractors may register and park at the old grade school lot. Awards will be announced at 4 p.m. There will be Touch a Tractor and Raffles sponsored by Sievers Equipment and Sloan Implement. Proceeds benefit Staunton FFA Chapter.

Music will also be part of the fun. From noon until 3 p.m. the feature will be Always on My Mind DJ and Karaoke with DJ Willie. From 3:30 until 5 p.m. Elvis Impersonator Steve Davis will entertain. From 6 to 10 p.m the Oldies, Motown and Classic Rock by the Tragg Band will be featured.

Special activities happening all day include water blast, face painting, kids games, axe throwing, balloons, dinosaur storybook walk, bounce houses, and craft vendors. Also there will be magic shows at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Don’t forget to enter the scarecrow contest. Bring your decorated scarecrow to check in next to the band stand between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. This event is open to the public and free to enter.
