Mae Dorothy Landreth, 98, of Bunker Hill, Ill., died at Litchfield Health and Rehab Center in Litchfield on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023. She was born Jan. 1, 1925, in East Alton, to George Herman Ringering and Yetrude Fannie Olson Ringering. She married Albert Clyde "Pappy" Landreth on July 3, 1949, in East Alton. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1999.

She was a grocer for Pappy's Market. Mae enjoyed cooking, gardening and quilting.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Landreth of Bunker Hill; stepsons, Terry (Ellen) Landreth of Bunker Hill, Eddie Landreth of Bunker Hill, Robert (Dolly) Landreth of Bunker Hill; grandchildren, David Landreth, Rebecca (Robert) Brown, Ron Landreth; and great-grandchild, Hunter Brown. Mae was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, William Ringering, Pearl Herring, James Ringering, Carl Ringering, Louis Ringering and Edward Ringering.

Friends may call on Thursday, Aug. 24, at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill from 5 until 7 p.m. Funeral services are Friday, Aug. 25, at 10 a.m. at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill. Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
