Rolling Thunder opens this week at Concordia

They have been preparing for this annual event since last September and everyone is ready to get going. The Rolling Thunder “Ride the Rally” opens this Friday, May 26, at Concordia Hall in Staunton.

The organizers have lined up a summer-long list of rally sponsors who will be hosting the ride each weekend from May 26 through Sept. 1.

As usual, the fun begins at Concordia Hall right here in Staunton. Then, each weekend, a different place of business will host the rally.

On June 2, the Illinois Motor-heads of New Douglas host the rally. On June 9, the rally returns to Staunton and will be hosted by Mr. T’s.

June 16, the rally makes its way to Mt. Olive and gathers at Mel’s Place.

June 23, the rally will be in Benld at No. 5 Winery.

The rally winds up the month of June by heading to Wiggler’s Bar & Grill in Holiday Shores on June 30.

The first three weeks of July, the rally will be hanging in Staunton starting with Berry’s Bar on July 7, the Staunton Country Club on July 14 and DeCamp Station on July 21.

On July 28, the rally heads for the Historical Hard Dog Cafe in Livingston.

August opens with rally riders heading to Litchfield Bowling Alley on Aug. 4. Then it's on to The Rustic in Worden on Aug. 11, Mt. Olive VFW on Aug. 18 and The Progressive Club in Wilsonville on Aug. 25.

Winding up the summer rally, brings everyone back to Concordia Hall in Staunton on Sept. 1 for a full weekend of fun.
