Wednesday, March 29, has been designated as Vietnam Veterans Day. The VFW Post 1241 in Staunton will be hosting special activities at the Post home, 120 E. Henry Street, in Staunton.

Beginning at 4 p.m., there will be an opening ceremony held on the VFW parking lot. The 21-gun salute followed by the playing of Taps will begin at 4:10 p.m.

Serving of free food for all veterans and one guest will begin at 4:15 p.m. and at 5 p.m. the social hour begins in the Canteen.

Everyone is invited to observe the ceremony and participate in the social hour.
