Ione B. Stanley (87) of Staunton died Jan. 16 at Community Memorial Hospital.

Chester Wilkening (74) of Worden died Jan. 13 at VenCor Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

The Village of New Douglas began a fund-raising campaign to restore the old firehouse built in 1860.
