Aaron Tytus Robbins, 74, of Benld, Ill., died at Community Hospital of Staunton on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023. He was born April 10, 1948, in Grassy, Mo., to Bill Robbins and Rosemary Fowler Baker. He married Portia Diane Goad on Nov. 29, 1968, in St. Louis, Mo., and she survives.
He was a retired welder for Ideal Fabricators in White City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy after having served during Vietnam. Aaron was all about his family.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Robbins of Benld; children, Vicki (James) Turner of Hamel, Wes Robbins of Fisher; grandchildren, Jesse Turner, Corey Turner, Lydia Robbins, Josh Robbins, Andrew Robbins, Sarah Robbins; great-grandchild, Linneah Robbins; and siblings, Terry Robbins of Fredericktown, Mo., Tim (Eileen) Robbins of Mt. Clare, Teresa Robbins of Bismarck, Mo., and Lisa Robbins. Aaron was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Loretta Robbins; and sister-in-law, Kathy Robbins.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo., on Wednesday, Jan. 18.
