The Staunton Ministerial Alliance announced that they would be opening a thrift store at 705 West Pearl St.

A baby was born to Shawn and Courtney Johnson of Titusville, Fla., on July 22.

A daughter was born to Brad and Lisa (Bryan) Williams of Worden on Aug. 28.

Annabelle K. Ollerton (73) of Livingston died Sept. 15 at Community Memorial Hospital.

Donald Edward Scheiwe (69) of Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of Mt. Olive, died Sept. 11.

Anita A. (Maskey) Nicholson (77) of Alton died Sept. 9 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton.

John W. Colbert (69) of East Alton, formerly of Staunton, died Sept. 12 at Mary Mount Manor Nursing Home in Eureka, Mo.

Zita Braida (90) of Sidney, Mont., formerly of Livingston, died Aug. 29 at Mountain Valley Hospice House in Missoula, Mont.

Alma Hubert (97) of Maywood, formerly of Gillespie, died Sept. 13 at Maywood.

Helen Torzynski (91) of Sacramento, Calif., formerly of the Livingston-Staunton area, died Sept. 14 at Sierra Nursing Home in Roseville, Calif.

Mike Halavonich (72) of John’s Island, S.C., formerly of Staunton, died Sept. 2.

Milton “Tut” Frederick Douglas (83) of Milwaukee, Wis., formerly of Mt. Olive, died Sept. 14 at his home.

There was a break-in and theft at Staunton Country Club last week that included damage to property and cash was stolen.

The Alco store in Staunton held their grand opening on Thursday.

A son was born to Matthew and Lisa (Henke) Miersch of Staunton on July 11.

Kristi Brown, formerly of Staunton, and Eric Stice were married March 31 in St. Louis.
