Claudell Faye Warren, 87, of Livingston, Ill., died on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra. She was born on June 24, 1935, in Oxly, Mo., the daughter of James and Hilda (Gayle) Knotts. She married Robert E. Warren on Aug. 19, 1950. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2011.

Claudell worked in the dietary department at Barry Care Center in Staunton and at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra. She also worked at Community Care as a home health caregiver. She was an avid Cardinals baseball fan, too.

She is survived by her sons, Edward (Janice) Warren of Livingston, Robert (Candy) Warren of Staunton, Bill (Jane) Warren of Staunton, Roger (Patty) Warren of Staunton; daughters, Evelyn (Chris) Warner of Livingston, Patricia (Bob Adams) Heinz of Hazelwood, Mo., Carolyn Jackson of Nashville, Tenn .; 23 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brother, James (Hetty) Knotts of Mt. Olive; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; son, James Warren; grandson, Maurice "Maury" Callender; brothers, Arthur, Leo, Morris, and Marion Knotts; sisters, Mary Lee Griffith, Sarah Whipple, Frances Kran, and one sister in infancy.


Visitation will take place Saturday, Sept. 17, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Lesicko Funeral Home in Livingston. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Deborah J. Atkins officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Spangle Cemetery near Livingston.
