Drake is the son of Michael and Beth DuFrain. While in high school, Drake was a member of the track and cross country teams. He was a member of the band all four years and was elected as head drum major in his senior year. He was a very active member of the Nerd Club and was only one of two people to hold a membership for five years. He was also on the honor roll all four years along with serving as a member of the student council for two years.
