Persons are considered innocent until proven guilty. In criminal actions, the person has been charged by a law enforcement agency but is entitled to a hearing or trial to argue his innocence.

• David W. Kallal, Jr., 36, of Bloomington, was cited for driving under the influence at 2:24 p.m. Dec. 27, 2021, on Route 111 west of Rinaker Road.

• Dennis P. Roeske, 30, of Gillespie, faces a felony charge of aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude at 11:21 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11. He was also cited for driving while license suspended and speeding 21 to 25 mph above the speed limit on Shipman Road at Bachman Road in Brighton Township.

• Jazylin D. Bailey, 18, of Litchfield, was cited for possession, purchase or accepting liquor by a minor, transportation or possession of open alcohol by driver, speeding 16 to 20 mph above the speed limit and failure to secure child greater than 8 years and less than 16 years in a safety belt at 12:54 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, on Rt. 4, just south of Quarry Road in Cahokia Township.

• Robert J. Holloway, 19, of Springfield, was ticketed for driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol and speeding at 2:50 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11.

• Timothy B. Clotfelter, 44, of Gillespie, was ticketed for driving under the influence and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 12:25 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, on Illinois Route 16 at Illinois Route 159.

• Shane C. Chance, 25, of Carlinville, faces felony charges of burglary and retail theft on Monday, Feb. 14, in connection to an incident in which he entered Ace Hardware in Carlinville and took possession of certain merchandise having a total value not in excess of $300, with the intention of depriving the owner permanently of said merchandise and without paying the full retail value.

• Maggie E. Paoni, 36, of Girard, was cited for driving under the influence, speeding, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper parking on roadway on Neff Road west of Henry Road at 4:37 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14.
