City clerk employee hired

Personnel matters were on the agenda at the Staunton City Council meeting held on Monday night at the community center.

The council gave approval to hire Tonya Whaley as full-time city clerk's office administrative assistant/zoning administrator. Approval was given for water plant employee Ed Rothgangel to carry over 40 hours of vacation time. The city will also advertise for a new water plant employee.
