Dave is a retired teacher.
He is engaged to Suellen Goebel and he has two granddaughters in Staunton Elementary School.
Dave has a bachelor of Science Degree from Eastern Illinois and has also taken continuing education classes at SIUE.
He has nearly 50 years of experience in the education field, having taught at A.R. Graiff Grade School in Livingston (22 years), taught at Staunton Jr. High (21 years) and has been a member of the Staunton School Board for six years.
