In their first game at the Macoupin County Tournament, the Staunton Bulldogs defeated Carlinville (58-40) on Jan. 16.

This win advanced the Bulldogs to play Southwestern on Wednesday, Jan. 18. Southwestern defeated the Bulldogs (47-28).

The win advanced Southwestern to the championship game vs. North Mac at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20.

The loss put Staunton in the 3rd place game vs. Bunker Hill to be played at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Anchored by Braden Buffington with 40 points, the Bulldogs defeated Bunker Hill 56-35 to claim third place.
