The Staunton High School girls basketball team defeated Vandalia 66-35 on Dec. 12.

On Dec. 14, the girls traveled to South Fork and were able to win there 48-41.

On Dec. 17, the girls returned home to play Porta/Ashland (Petersburg).They lost this one 34-40 bringing their season record to 9-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play.

This week the girls will play at Auburn Dec. 22, then return home to play Anna Jonesboro Dec. 27.
