Patrick J. Whitehead, 58, of Litchfield, Ill., died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, at his residence. He was born Aug. 13, 1964, in East St. Louis, the son of the late William and Ann (Gibson) Whitehead. He married Angel Harrison on Aug. 7, 1993, in Collinsville, and she survives.

He was employed as a machine operator at Kraft Foods in Granite City for many years. Patrick loved to play his guitar. He also enjoyed wood-working and refinishing, and making his family laugh.

He is survived by his wife, Angel Whitehead of Litchfield; five children, Cindy Whitehead, Timothy Whitehead, Alison Whitehead, Lauren (Ryan) Davis, Simon Whitehead; three grandchildren; six siblings, Gary, Michelle, Patricia, Kate, Maggie, and Liz; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Leroy, Robbie, Bonnie, and Frank.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Net Community Church in Staunton with Pastor Derrick Taylor officiating.
