Darla Jean Haustein Kasten, 55, of Grand Tower, Ill., formerly of Livingston and Staunton, passed away in November 2022. She was born Aug. 1, 1967, in East St. Louis, the daughter of Kenneth Haustein and Darlene Allen. She married Peter Joseph Kasten on Nov. 21, 1986, in Las Vegas, Nev., and he preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 2002.

She was a 1985 graduate of Livingston High School.

Darla is survived by her daughter, Kati Elizabeth (Jonathon)Gooding; son, Joseph Anthony Kasten; granddaughter, Emily Elizabeth Gooding; and several siblings and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
