After losing their opener to Madison, the Staunton High School basketball team came back with two quick wins.

They outscored Roxana in every quarter to take the 44-24 win on Nov. 29. On Nov. 30, the Bulldogs added another win by defeating Bunker Hill. This game was tied 33-33 at the half and Bunker Hill actually led 38-35 after three quarters. But the Bulldogs outscored the Minutemen 18-9 in the fourth quarter to take the 53-47 win.

Unfortunately, we have been unable to obtain individual stats for the players.

This week, the Bulldogs were to play at East Alton/Wood River on Dec. 6, at Southwestern Dec. 9; participate in the Terry Todt Shoot-out at Hillsboro Dec.10; then return home to play Jerseyville on Dec 13; Greenville on Dec. 16 and Lebanon Dec. 17.
