Michael Sean Hankins, 53, of Mt. Olive, Ill., died at Carlinville Area Hospital in Carlinville on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022. He was born Dec. 26, 1968, in Litchfield, to Leonard Hankins and Luva Peacock.

He was a truck driver. Michael loved baseball and football, especially the Cubs and Steelers.

He is survived by his siblings, Helen Jones of Winder, Ga., Dave (Carol) Hankins of Litchfield, Peggy (Sam) Osburn of Harrisburg, Lenny (Patra) Hankins of Bunker Hill; nieces and nephews, Jodi (Brian) Nolan, Tammy Lynn, Donnie Pointer, Lisa Paterson, Travis Hankins, Brady Hankins, Nick Emery, Eric Emery, Cassandra (Mark) Hancock, Theodore Hopper, Jr., Kriesten (Brian) Reeves, Leeann (Dylan) Heaps, Sam Waller, Johnny Jones; and many cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and special friends. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ted Hopper; nephew, Danny Hankins; and niece, Sherrie Long.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 5 p.m. at the VFW of Litchfield.
