The Staunton High School Lady Bulldog volleyball team defeated Hillsboro in two sets 25-11 and 25-18 on Thursday, Oct. 6.

Haris Legendre led the team in kills with 12 followed by Kennedy Legendre with 7.

Aces were by Ele Feldmann 2, Allison Weller 2, K. Legendre 2, Kylie Lucykow 1, H. Legendre 1, and Danielle Russell 1.

The Lady Bulldogs had 4 blocks with block assists by Russell (2), H. Legendre (2), Grace Bekeske (2), Taylor Nolan (1) and Feldmann (1).

Lucykow and K. Legendre led the team with 5 digs each. Feldmann made 4 digs, H. Legendre 3, Weller and Bekeske made 2 each.

This win brought the Lady Bulldog overall season record to 13-5 (5-0 in conference) as they entered the Macoupin County Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 8.
