Lady Bulldogs are County Champs

The Staunton High School volleyball team claimed the Macoupin County Championship title on Saturday night with a two-game victory over the North Mac Panthers. This made the fifth consecutive county title for the Lady Bulldogs. SHS had three on the all-tournament team – Haris Legendre, Kennedy Legendre and Kylie Lucykow.
On Saturday, Oct. 8, Staunton High School hosted the Macoupin County Volleyball Tournament.
Congratulations to the Lady Bulldogs who made short work of the challenge by winning all three of their matches in two sets.
In pool play, the Lady Bull- dogs started by defeating the Lady Miners of Gillespie in two sets 25-9 and 25-13.
Their second match in pool play was vs. Carlinville. The Lady Bulldogs were also able to win this match over the Lady Cavaliers in two sets, 25-12 and 25-12.
