Illinois State Police reported that two people were killed in a crash that occurred at the intersection of State Route 4 and State Route 140 in rural Worden on Wednesday, Oct. 5. This is the intersection where Poor Boy Portable Buildings is located.

The fatal accident happened at 7:55 a.m. when a 2018 Freightliner truck-tractor semi-trailer combination hit the passenger side of a 2016 red Nissan Rogue driven by Sheila Macon, age 73, from Greenville. Her 17-year-old granddaughter, Ciara Renee Macon, from Alton, was her passenger. They both were pronounced deceased on the scene.
