The boys and girls golf teams both won their Senior Night games on Monday, Sept. 19, at Timber Lakes. There are still games left on their schedule, however this was the last home game for the seniors. Staunton seniors are Luke DeWitt, Luke Meyer, Adam Overby and Emma Tjaden.

The boys had a team score of 174 defeating Mt. Olive (227) and Gillespie (239). Preston Denney was match medalist with his round of 38 on the par 36 course. Other team scores were Broc Best 42, Bryce Coalson 47 and Luke Meyer 47.

The girls won their game over Carlinville (238) and Hillsboro (237) with a team score of 223. Carlinville’s Marlee Whitler was medalist with her 41. Breanna Feeley was Staunton’s team medalist with her round of 49. Other Staunton team scores were by Emma Tjaden 54, Lily Bandy 51, and Madison Dugger 69.

Following Monday’s game, the boys had a season record of 29-6 and the girls are now 6-1.
