Carolyn Frances Kohlmeier, nee Hochmuth, 82, of Belleville, Ill., died Friday, Sept. 2, 2022, at her residence. She was born July 30, 1940, to Herman and Helen (Wray) Hochmuth. She married Roy Kohlmeier on May 20, 1961, and he preceded her in death on July 26, 2000.

Carolyn had retired from Scott Credit Union. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and Zion Lutheran Church, Belleville. She was involved with the J.U.L.I.E.T.S (Just Us Ladies, Imbibing, Eating, Talking & Sharing) at church.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa A. Bray; a son, Bryan W. Kohlmeier; a brother, John Hochmuth; four grandchildren, Nicholas (Tanjecqua) Bray, Matthew Bray, Logan (Sara Adams) Bray, and Jack (Liv Lawson) Kohlmeier; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Roy Kohlmeier; her parents, Herman and Helen Hochmuth; sister, Patricia Hochmuth; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, with Rev. Chris Spelbring officiating. Burial was at Lake View Memorial Gardens.
