Melvina Lorriane Knetzer, 90, of Gillespie, Ill., died at her residence on Monday, Sept. 5, 2022.  She was born Jan. 4, 1932, in Virden to Melvin and Rozzella Friend Robinson. She married Joseph Knetzer on March 19, 1948, in Carlinville. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2017. 

She was a hairdresser. 

She is survived by her son, William Joseph (Agnes) Knetzer of Gillespie; daughters, Linda Lorraine (Dennis) Kahl of Bunker Hill, Tina Ann Knetzer of Pinehurst, N.C .; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Melvina was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, JoAnn Knetzer; son, Kenneth Lee Knetzer; sisters, Mary Crouch, Virginia Mae Robinson, Margaret Crafts, Betty LeFaivre; and brothers, James Robinson, Lester Robinson, Richard Robinson, and Herbert Robinson. 

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 10, at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie. Burial was at New Calvary Cemetery in Carlinville.
