Illinois State Police (ISP) District 18 Commander, Captain Gillock, has announced the ISP will conduct special patrols in Macoupin County during the month of October. These will be

• Roadside Safety Checks watching for drivers who are operating vehicles in an unsafe manner;

• Nighttime Enforcement (NITE) patrols that focus on preventing, detecting, and taking enforcement action in response to impaired driving and occupant restraint violations especially between the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.;
