During the Staunton CUSD #6 Board of Education meeting on Monday, Aug. 15, Dori Rhodes was approved as president pro tem due to the absence of Board President Dr. Poonam Jain. The board members took action on several items regarding the purchase of district buses.

Superintendent Brett Allen was given approval to seek bids on a wheelchair accessible bus and two full-size buses. Due to supply chain issues, the wheelchair accessible bus approved for purchase last year is no longer available, so Allen will be receiving bids from other companies for a similar vehicle.
