Peggy Sue Peterson, 65, of Williamson, Ill., died on Friday, July 22, 2022, at her residence. She was born on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 1956, in Belleville, the daughter of Frank and Suzanne (Fellows) Rossy. She was married to Fred J. Peterson Sr. for 37 years. Fred preceded Peggy in death on Thursday, June 25, 2009.

Peggy worked at many jobs throughout her life including waitressing. She was primarily a self-employed housekeeper. She enjoyed fishing very much, but most importantly, she loved family and her grandchildren.

Peggy is survived by her children, Fred J. (Kristy) Peterson Jr. of Livingston and Suzanne Bangert (Larry Mriscin) of Alhambra; grandsons, Derek (Kaitlyn) Bangert and Benjamin Peterson; great-grandson, Waylon J. Bangert; sisters, Ruby (John) Berkel of Staunton, Elaine Rossy of Lebanon, and Joanie (Terry) Wilson of Troy; brother-in-law, Robert (Sharon) Peterson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

A public graveside service and burial was held on Tuesday, July 26, at Spangle Cemetery located near Williamson.
