Summer prairie wildflower walk

 


Bremer Sanctuary in Hillsboro will be holding a summer prairie wildflower walk and potluck on Saturday, July 23, from 4 to 7 p.m.

A guided tour through Bremer's prairie trails will leave the barn parking area at 4 p.m. and will last approximately 90 minutes. The leisurely hike may feature such native beauties as prairie coneflowers, compass plant, brown-eyed Susan, prairie blazingstar and several colorful varieties of milkweed.

Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes, hat and apply bug repellent. Bring a bottle of water. Wagon rides through the prairie will be offered for those not wish...
