Brian J. Kuethe, 61, of Sterling, Okla., died Monday, June 21, 2022. He was born on Aug. 21, 1960, in Litchfield, Ill. Brian was the son of the late Kenneth and Shirley (Grange) Kuethe.

Brian was an associate at Walmart in Lawton, Okla., and worked as a plumber in the Staunton, Ill., area before moving to Oklahoma. He graduated from Staunton High School in 1979, then Ranken Technical School in 1981. Brian was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton.

Brian is survived by two brothers, Kevin (Peggy) Kuethe of Staunton and Michael (Lisa) Kuethe of New Douglas, Ill.; sister-in-law, Monica Kuethe of Brighton, Ill.; stepson, Michael (Joanna) Jurgess of Fletcher, Okla.; three grandchildren, Jaiden, Rylan, and Sadie Jurgess; also several nieces and nephews. Brian was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Terry Kuethe and Larry Kuethe.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the VFW in Staunton.
