You can still be part of the Homecoming

There is still time to become a part of the Homecoming Celebration in Staunton set for June 24, 25 and 26. Rides and carnival games will be hosted by Egyptian Exposition. However, there are two ways open to local clubs or organizations wanting to join in the celebration.

• Be a vendor. Anyone interested in being a vendor at the Firemen’s Homecoming Celebration should call Dave Wells at 618-530-4084. There are local clubs/organizations planning to operate a variety of food stands. If you haven’t already done so, call Dave now so he can arrange placement at the park.

• Be in the parade. The firemen are planning a parade of decorated floats, bands, etc. The parade is always the highlight of the weekend, and they are working hard to make this year’s parade no exception to that rule. If you have not done so yet, call Ben Clark at 217-851-2461 to register your float/group in the parade so he can get everyone properly lined up.

Everyone is anxiously looking forward to the return of the Firemen’s Annual Homecoming in Staunton. Why not be a part of it all?
