Darvin Dean Hensley, 87, of rural Worden, Ill., died Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at his residence. Born July 30, 1934, in Virden, he was the son of the late James and Lois (Wiggins) Hensley. He married Marilyn (Wisnasky) Wieseman on Oct. 24, 1987, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Staunton, and she survives.

He worked as a credit manager at Farm Service in Edwardsville for many years. Darvin served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1958. He was a member of the Madison County Farm Bureau, and he loved the farm.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Hensley of Worden; his son, Scott (Amy) Hensley of Roxana; two stepsons, Kenneth Wieseman (Tracey Gregg) of Worden, David Wieseman of New Douglas; two stepdaughters, Donna (Eugene) Hampton of Worden, Mary (Kerry) Butcher of Worden; three grandchildren, Braydon Hensley, Patrick Wieneke, and Sydney Wieneke; 12 step-grandchildren, Linda Wieseman, Johanna (Jerry) Becker, Angela Wieseman, Levi Wieseman, Beth (Josh) Saunders, Nicole (Larry) Senaldi, Megan (Nathan) Buchanan, Jason (Debbie) Hampton, Katie (Matt) Prante, Charles Everett "Ceb" (Ashley) Butcher, Dakota Sims, Emily Sims; 19 step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dolores Payne of Florida and Caroline (H.A.) Walmsley of Florida. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheri Hensley.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, at 10:30 a.m. at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton with Father Thomas Hagstrom officiating. The Bunker Hill American Legion will conduct military rites outside Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton immediately following Darvin's memorial service. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery near Bunker Hill.
