Macoupin County Treasurer Roger Anderson states that the 2021 real estate tax bills will be mailed June 10. Approxi- mately 38,000 tax bills are being prepared for mailing.
The first installment is due Monday, July 11, and the sec- ond installment is due Friday, Sept. 16. Penalties will be charged after the due dates. If a taxpayer does not get their tax bill, they should contact the treasurer’s office. Failure to receive a tax bill or receiv- ing one late for any reason will not relieve a taxpayer from paying taxes or any late penalties accrued.
