SHS principal hired

Staunton High School will be welcoming Carrie Griffith to the Staunton CUSD #6 family. On Tuesday, May 31, the CUSD #6 Board of Education employed Griffith to serve as the high school principal starting July 1.

"Ms. Griffith's positive attitude and professional demeanor made her stand out as a top candidate, and I'm excited for her to work with our staff and students to maintain and improve the high quality education provided to our community," stated Superintendent Brett Allen.

Griffith brings 22 years of education experience with her to the Staunton School District. Thirteen years were spent in the classroom and the remaining years as a school administrator.

"I am looking forward to returning to the area to work for the Staunton School District and community," Griffith stated.
