The Staunton Sportsman Club will sponsor their 2022 Kids Fishing Derby on Sunday, May 22.

The fishing derby is open to all kids age pre-K through 8th grade. They will be divided into five divisions according to age. Adult supervision is required. You do not have to be a mem- ber of the Sportsman's Club to participate.

Registration will be open that day from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Staunton Sportsman’s Club grounds. Fishing starts at 1 p.m. Grades pre-K, 1stand2ndwillfishfrom1-2 p.m. Third through 8th grades will fish from 1 - 3 p.m.

All kids fishing in the derby must use live bait only. No artificial lures will be allowed. There will be trophies, hot dogs, refreshments and prizes to follow.
