Bulldogs win at Calhoun

Starting pitcher Grant Neuhaus, a junior, got the win for the Dogs 14-9 over the Calhoun Warriors.

The baseball Bulldogs were in Hillsboro on Monday, May 2, where they lost to the Hiltoppers 0-5. Hillsboro scored 2 runs in the first inning and added 3 in the 6th.

Deklan Riggs pitched 7 innings for the Hiltoppers. He faced 21 batters, struck out 10, walked none, gave up 1 hit and 0 runs.

Cayden Silvester had the Bulldog's lone hit. He also pitched 5 innings for Staunton, faced 21 batters, struck out 8, walked 3, gave up 3 hits and 2 runs. Luke Meyer pitched 1 inning, faced 6 batters, struck out 1, gave up 2 hits and 3 runs.

On May 4, the Bulldogs defeated Calhoun 14-9.
