Vernon Robert "Bob" Loveless, Jr., 75, of Mt. Clare, Ill., died at Heritage Health of Gillespie on Thursday, April 28, 2022. He was born Oct. 10, 1946, in Litchfield to Vernon Sr., and Marybeth (Archibald) Loveless. He married Ann Marie Schneider, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 10, 2018.

He was a tow motor operator for Olin Corp. Vernon was a member of the National Rifle Association, Olin Shooting Club, and he was a board member of the Village of Mt. Clare for 25 years.

He is survived by his mother, Marybeth Loveless of Gillespie; children, Kim (Glenn) Simmons of Mt. Clare, Wendi (fiancé, Todd Graham) Goodson of Gillespie; grandchildren, Katie Jenkins, Jesica Feldman, Jacob Goodson, Logan Simmons; great-grandchildren, Patrick Feldman, Presley Feldman, Eleanor Jenkins, Matilda Jenkins; siblings, Larry (Ruth) Loveless of Gillespie, Kenneth (Patti) Loveless of Henderson, Ralph (Lisa) Loveless of Henderson. Vernon was preceded in death by his father and wife.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 4, at Kravanya Funeral Home, Benld. Burial was at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Carlinville.
