Kate is the daughter of Patrick and Melanie Wineburner. While in high school, she was a member of the volleyball team and the trap team her freshman and sophomore years. She was also a member of the band all four years of high school. Kate was inducted as a member of the National Honor Society, where she was elected as speaker her senior year. She was an active member of the Bulldog Business Club her junior and senior years, where she was elected president her senior year.
