Staunton's first glow ride successful

A large group of bicyclists all decked out in various glowing gear took part in the city's first Glow Ride on Saturday night.

Staunton had a brand new event this past weekend and it was glowing fun for all ages. The Chamber of Commerce worked closely with Mayor Craig Neuhaus to bring his vision of a Glow Ride to town. Chamber businesses were quick to sponsor the event and volunteers from multiple locations worked together to create a safe, family friendly nighttime bike ride. There were 140 riders who kicked off the inaugural year, and it was a perfect start for an event that will continue annually.

The chamber sold glow accessories and hot dogs. Free drink tickets were made available by Concordia Hall, VFW,...
