Rudolph T. “Rudy” Preloger (86) of Staunton died March 22 at Community Memorial Hospital.

Jesse L. Gragert (68) of New Douglas died March 23 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.

Esther Gurick (82) of Gillespie died March 18 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

Robert Haegele (25) of Alhambra died March 18 at his home.

M.K. “Slim” Clemons (72) of Livingston died March 22 at Faith Countryside Homes in Highland.

Fern Rose Truetzschler (90) of Mt. Olive died March 18 at Heritage Manor in Litchfield.

Following completion of the new skateboard park in Staunton last week, there have been numerous behavior problems.

Staunton Fire Protection District received a new Pierce rescue pumper that is being readied for service.

Staunton Public Library received a $6,154.21 grant from the state.
