Sue Etta (Opel) Viviano, 83, died on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Tampa General Hospital in Florida from a massive bleeding stroke. She was born on Oct. 24, 1938, in Worden, Ill., to Otto and Doris (Miles) Opel. She married Bill Viviano in 1988, and he preceded her in death.

She previously married and had two children with Joseph Bagaglio, (Cindy and Susan), and later two children with Richard Vesper, (Patty and Richie).

She worked as an administrative assistant at Fruin Colnon in St. Louis, Mo., for many years. After she married Bill Viviano, they moved to Vancouver, Wash., where they managed an apartment complex. They spent a few years living in Okeechobee, Fla., where she found her faith and then they moved back to Shelbyville, Ill., to be closer to family. After Bill passed, she retired to Sebring, Fla. Sue was a kind and caring person who adored her family, was adventurous and liked traveling, loved cooking for family and friends, enjoyed fishing, especially with her brother, Bill, and spent most of her time devoted to her faith. She was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses.

She is survived by one brother, Bill Opel (wife Karen); three daughters, Cindy (Bagaglio) Coalson (husband Tom), Susan (Bagaglio) Owens (husband Baron), Patty (Vesper) McCalister (partner Jim Blair); two stepsons, Billy and Donny Viviano; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. Sue was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Richard G. Vesper; and husband, Bill Viviano.

She was cremated and did not want a funeral service so any donations may be made to St. Jude's in her memory.
