Thursday, December 15, 1966 -- VANDALS HIT LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL EARLY MONDAY -- Several vandals broke into the high school early Monday morning. They gained entrance by breaking the windows in the rear doors of the school.

The Star-Times did not arrive at the school until 7:30 a.m. and by that time the custodial staff had cleaned up much of the mess, having started before 6:00. It was evident, though, what greeted the staff when they arrived that morning.
