The SHS basketball Lady Bulldogs are competing in the Greenville Regional, part of the Waverly Sectional and the Beardstown Super-Sectional.
In the second round of State tournament play on Feb. 14, the Staunton Lady Bulldogs defeated Pittsfield (Coop) 49-44. The Staunton girls entered the tournament with a 19-7 season record and had received first round bye.
In the opening round, Southwestern eliminated Roxana 39-34. Pittsfield Co-op eliminated EA/WR 53-25.
The win over Pittsfield, advanced the Lady Bulldogs to play Alton Marquette for the Roxana Regional championship originally scheduled...
