Bulldogs start post season play Saturday

The Bulldogs stand at attention while Boy Scout Troop 34 presents the colors and the SHS Band plays the National Anthem during National Guard Night. The Dogs wore special jerseys honoring the Illinois National Guard.
The Staunton High School Basketball Bulldogs will complete their regular season play Thursday, Feb. 17.
Last week, they played at Greenfield/Northwestern on Feb. 9 and lost 23-35.
Staunton 2 - 5 - 7 - 9 = 23
NW 9 -11 - 3 -12= 35
They traveled to Hillsboro on Feb. 11. The Hiltoppers won this one 67-53.
Staunton ... 10 - 8- 19 -16 = 53
Hillsboro ....16 -13 -17 -21 = 67
The Bulldogs were at Pawnee Feb. 12 and won their game 50-38.
Staunton.. 11 - 10 - 15 - 14 = 50
Pawnee .....6 - 8 - 11 - 13 = 38
Staunton will finish their regular season this week with games at home vs. Southwestern on Tuesday, Feb. 15, and vs. East Alton/Wood River Thursday, Feb. 17.
The Bulldogs open post season play in the Greenville Regional on Saturday, Feb. 19, when they play the Comets at 6 p.m. The winner of that game will play the winner of Saturday's Hillsboro/Roxana game at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23, in Greenville. The winner of the Greenville Regional advances to Flora Sectional competition on March 1.
