The Staunton Lady Bulldogs basketball team is the #1 seed at the Macoupin County Tournament being held in Gillespie this week. The Lady Bulldogs enter tournament play with a 13-3 record and, as #1 seed, receive a first round bye. Their first game (Game #8) was set to be played on Tuesday, Jan.18, when they play the winner of Monday’s game between North Mac and Southwestern.

A win on Tuesday sends the Lady Bulldogs into the championship game on Friday, Jan 21, when they will play the winner of Game 9 for the tournament title. A loss on Tuesday, would put them in Game #13 vs the loser of Game 9...
