The Macoupin County Tournament is scheduled to be held in Gillespie and open on Monday, Jan. 17.

The Staunton boys go in with a 4-10 overall record and were to play Mt. Olive in Game 1 at 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 17.

A win on Monday would put them in Game #12, at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 19, vs. the winner of Southwestern/Gillespie. A loss on Monday would put them in Game #10 at 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 19 vs. the loser of the Southwestern/Gillespie game.

A win on Wednesday (Game #12) would advance the Bulldogs to the championship game to be played at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21.

North Mac is the #1 seed and was scheduled to play their first game (game #11) at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, vs. the winner of Game #5 (Bunker Hill vs. Carlinville).

On Thursday, Jan. 20, the winner from Game #10 plays the loser from Game #5 for 5th place and the losers from Games #11 and #12 play for 3rd place.
